    Dear Karen,

I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Carl’s passing. My brother Eric called tonight to tell me that he read about Uncle Carl in Newsday. I remember your dad fondly, as well as your mom.

It’s been 40 years since we’ve seen each other – and that’s too long. Thinking back to those wonderful days visiting Ketewomokee Drive with you and your family, I’ve often wondered about your whereabouts. Joanne, Eric, and Lee Ann are all fine. All living in Huntington. Dad passed away January 26th, 1976. He told Eric he didn’t want to pass on my birthday, which is today, the 25th.

I am married with four children (12-24) and living just north of Asheville, NC. I would like to reconnect. I hope to hear from you.

Carl will be dearly missed by all his friends in Pinehurst, he was a wonderful man with a huge heart. I will miss our long talks, our lunches together, celebrating his birthday at my house with the kids and just having him over for dinner once in a while. Rest In Peace my dear friend. I miss you!
