Wayne, You may remember me from JPS in Charlotte. I worked with you and Carolyn and was a close friend of Norma Hicks (Have not heard from her in quite a few years). I was so aorry to hear of Carolyn’s passing. She was such a sweet lady and I enjoyed working with her at JPS.
Sincerely,
June Wilson McCoy

Wayne, there is simply no adequate words to provide you any comfort due to your loss. I simply remember your smile when meeting you at the Miss America Pageant a few years ago. McNeil couldn’t stop talking about you which caused me to so badly want to meet you. I know it is sad right now, but keep that beautiful smile and know you are in my prayers. Pam (Miss IN ’81)

Wayne and family-Carolyn was a super person for us to know. We have had some good times and not so good times but we have survived through it all and remained good close and dedicated friends. We are better persons because we knew Carolyn. We thank you for your support when Salem was competing in OT.
God bless and we will see you soon.

I share so many of my fondest memories with my Aunt Caroline. Although we didn’t get to see each other much over the past few years, you were always in my heart. I will always thank you for the special times we spent together, the many wonderful summers we had together. You made me feel so special. You touched everyone around you with your kind and loving ways. My prayers are with Uncle Wayne and our family. I witnessed what a true and gentle man he was with my Aunt Caroline. I love you.

Wayne, we think of your wife so very often and miss her terribly at St. Joe’s. You are in our thoughts and prayers and can not imagine what you’re going through. Be proud that you were such a wonderful, loving husband that stood by Mrs. Hicks every step of her journey. You two were truly blessed to have one another. If there’s ever anything I can do for you, you know where to find me.
All my love,
Michelle Moreau, LPN
