Clement Russell Faircloth, age 70 of Aberdeen died on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

He was born on September 24, 1941 in Moore County to the late Jim Faircloth and Edith Frye Faircloth. He was a member of Page Memorial United Methodist Church in Aberdeen. He was a past Master of Roman Eagle Lodge # 550 in Aberdeen as well as a past Patron of the Aberdeen Chapter # 259 Order of the Eastern Star. He was chosen to be Mason of the Year in 2009.  His passion and ministry was Meals on Wheels where he could be found volunteering his time each week. He also volunteered at Martha’s Place Soup Kitchen at Page Memorial United Methodist Church. He had a kind heart and loving spirit and was always willing to help people. He will always be remembered for his radiant smile and his sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Martha Sheppard Faircloth of Aberdeen; one daughter, Laura Faircloth Graham and husband Melvin of Cameron, NC; a sister, Sandra Williams and husband Wyatt of Katie, TX; two brothers: Percy B. Slade and wife Ann of Pinehurst, NC; and Stanley Ray Faircloth and wife Pam of Pinehurst, NC. He was also survived by one grandson, Garrett Russell Graham and an aunt, Marlene Frye Bost of Pinehurst, NC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Denny Wayne Faircloth.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Page Memorial United Methodist Church in Aberdeen with Rev. Jane Leechford, Dr. Dennis Ray Sheppard, and Rev. Joe Forbes officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow at Bethesda Cemetery in Aberdeen.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to: Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 2083, Southern Pines, NC 28387 or to Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College St., Oxford, NC 27565.
