Helen Phillips Maunder, 73,  of Sanford better known as Granny died February 14, 2012 in Wake Forest, NC.  Mrs. Maunder was born June 15, 1938 in Robbins, NC to the late Horace G. Phillips and Bessie Phillips.

A visitation will be held 1 to 2PM Friday February 17th 2012 at the Gulf Presbyterian Church in Gulf, NC with service beginning at 2PM Rev. Carl Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Maunder was preceded in death by her husband of 40yrs in 2009, Gerald Robert Maunder.  Several brothers and a sister, Geneva Phillips Lovell.

Mrs. Maunder is survived by her three daughters, Deborah A. Delariva of Siler City, NC; Jacqueline L. Thomas and fiancé Stephen of Wake Forest, NC; and Kimberly A O’Hara and husband Michael of Wake Forest, NC; a brother, Bob Phillips and wife Margaret of Broadway, NC; and a sister, Margaret Gordon and husband Elvin of Sanford, NC; five grandchildren, Caleb D. Thomas, Trista D. Thomas, Timothy Arnold, Michelle Carter, and Laura O’Hara.  One great-grandchild, Aiden Carter

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Gulf Presbyterian church at 253 Gulf Road, Gulf, NC 27256
