Inez G. Speer
Inez G. Speer 82 of Carthage died Sunday March 7, 2010 at Quail Haven Village in Pinehurst. A graveside service will be held 2pm Tuesday at Priest Hill Presbyterian Church with Rev. Archie Stevens officiating.
Born August 16, 1927 in Surry County to the late Sam and Dina Hawks Galyean, and retired from Carthage Fabrics. She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert G. Speer.
Survived by her sons; Jerry of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Jimmy of Cameron: a brother Howard Galyean of Sanford: sisters Hazel Sparks of Cusseta, Ga, Shirley Clement of Newport, NC: 3GC and 5 GGC.
Boles Funeral Home of Southern Pines in charge of arrangements.

I am truly sorry to hear about Inez passing. She was a fine woman and I enjoyed working with her many years ago at Quality Mills. Once she had made a beautiful green pant suit for herself and it didn’t fit too well. Rather than alter it, she gave it to me and I wore it for many years and always received many compliments. I am sure she is dancing with Hubert as we speak.
