Jack Leonard Renner, 82, of Southern Pines, passed Friday, February 26, 2010 at Penick Village in Southern Pines.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday March 1, 2010 10:30AM at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines with the Rev. Rebekah Newton officiating.
Mr. Renner was born May 16, 1927 to the late Clarence E. Renner and Lillian West Renner in Ambler, PA.
He served his country in the US Navy during WWII aboard the USS Mississippi.  He was a great outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, freshwater and saltwater fishing, golf, and bird watching.  He was an avid gardener who enjoyed reading and learning anything new.
He is survived by his wife of eleven years V Demetrial McNeill.  Three sons, Douglas Renner and wife Donna of North Wales, PA,.  John Renner and wife Madalen of Hatfield, PA,. Gary Renner and wife Eileen of Green Lane, PA,.  Stepdaughter, Deedee McBride and husband Ron of Atlanta, GA,. A brother, Clarence Renner of Lansdale, PA,. a sister Joan Maher of Schwenksville, PA,. Grandchildren, Mary Lynn Renner, Jessica Leigh Renner, Stephen Quitinsky, Ryan Quitinsky, Aaron Quitinsky, Kristen Donches, and Kirk “Sonny” Ulshafer. Two great-grandchildren, Maxwell Donches and Maddalena Donches.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert T. Renner
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in memory of Jack Renner First Health Hospice & Palliative Care at 150 Applecross Road Pinehurst, NC 28374.

    Uncle Jack helped me purchase my first house and gave me a great dog, Pearl, to boot. He kept our family laughing and started a wonderful family golf tournament with his brothers Clarence & Bob. Condolences to all who loved him.
