James Randall “Jimmy” Ledford, Jr.
James Randall “Jimmy” Ledford, Jr., 32, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2010.
A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, February 11, 2010 at Johnson Grove Cemetery in Vass.
Born May 15, 1977 in Barberton, OH to Rita Miller and Randy Ledford, he was a construction worker who loved to fish and hunt, played softball and watch football from his favorite recliner.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Martha of Carthage; son Justice Ledford and daughter Jessica Ledford, both of Carthage; mother Rita Miller of Carthage and father Randy Ledford of Georgia; brothers Ernest Legg of Carthage and Randy Ledford of Georgia; sister Christy Ledford of Ohio; maternal grandmother Retta Miller of Ohio; step-father Frank Legg of Carthage; step-mother Rachelle Ledford of Georgia; brother-in-law Chad Prevatte of Carthage; sister-in-law Meredith Webster of Johnsonville, NC; father-in-law Everette Prevatte Jr. of Carthage and mother-in-law Janice Prevatte of Virginia; uncle Dennis Wayne Miller of Ohio and great uncle John Ledford of Georgia; nephews 4; nieces 5. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Dennis Miller, sister Regina Ledford, and Brother Doug Miller.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 pm Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines and at other times 2764 US Hwy 1N, Vass, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent in Jimmy’s name to Boles Funeral Home, 425 W. Pennsylvania Ave., Southern Pines, NC 28387 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
