Mr. James “Snu Boy” Hunt was born in Robeson County September 1, 1933 to the late Wilbert “Dunk” and Cussie Hunt.   He entered into eternal rest on  Tuesday,  January 24, 2012 completing his journey of 78 years.
 
Mr. Hunt was also preceded in death by a daughter, Julia Lynn Hunt.

Mr. Hunt is survived by his wife, Verzilla McGirt Hunt of the home, two sons; Jamie Hunt and wife Anita, and Randy Wayne Hunt both of Pembroke, three daughters; Vicky Baxley of Raeford, Sally G. Locklear and husband Buddy of Rowland and Veronica J. Hunt and husband Fredrick of Fairmont, one brother, Huey Hunt of Fairmont, 21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a loving care giver, Betty Locklear as well as a host of friends.
