James V. Oliver Jr.
James V. Oliver Jr., age 64 of Cameron passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at his home in Cameron. Born on August 5, 1945 in Avery County, NC to the late James L. Oliver and Bessie Mae Buchanon Oliver. He is survived by two daughters: Rebecca Sledd of Buffalo, NY and Sandy Vasquez of Fowler, CO. Four brothers: Avery Oliver and wife Patsy of Cameron, NC, Jack Oliver and wife Kathryn of Largo, FL, Jerry Oliver and wife Kim of Elyria, OH, Jess Oliver and wife Denise of Danielsville, GA. One sister. Diane Allen and husband Gill of Sanford, NC. Grandchildren: Daniel and Jason Sledd; Levi and Isaac Johnson; and Nicholas Martinez. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Bess.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Pineywood Church Cemetery in Cameron.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to: Community Home Care and Hospice, 110 Fields Drive, Suite B, Sanford, NC 27330.
