Lauramae “Laurie” Y. Norris, 89, of Pinehurst, NC, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2010, at her Quail Haven Village residence.

A graveside remembrance will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at 2:00PM at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Southern Pines, NC.

Mrs. Norris was married to John R. Norris for 66 years and the two became residents of Pinehurst in 1975. Laurie is survived by her two children, David and Patricia; daughter-in-law, Carole; three granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. She lost her husband in 2007 and her eldest granddaughter in 2008.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in her memory may be made to Quail Haven Village, 155 Blake Boulevard, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
