Maria Luisa Sanchez
Maria Luisa Sanchez, age 82 of Aberdeen, NC passed away with her family by her side, on Friday, March 12, 2010 at her daughter’s home in Pinehurst.
Born on August 19, 1927 in Puerto Rico to the late Juan Ruiz and Luisa Rosa Ruiz. She was a member of the Comunidad Cristiana Vida De Reino (Community Christian) Church in West End, NC. Mrs. Sanchez formerly lived in New York from 1952-1992, then she moved to be closer to her only daughter in Pinehurst, NC. She was a “Bingo Queen”, and enjoyed the many friendships that she formed through playing Bingo in the Sandhills.
She is survived by her only daughter, Rosa Recio and husband Raul of Pinehurst, NC. One niece, Maribel Mendez of Aberdeen, NC and a nephew, John Flores of Aberdeen, NC. She also has a host of great-nieces and great-nephews that also reside in Aberdeen. She has one brother who survives her and resides in Puerto Rico. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reinaldo Sanchez.
Service will be held on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at Comunidad Cristiana Vida De Reino (Community Christian Church), 235 Esther Rd., West End, NC 27376. Pastor Lemuel will officiate the service.
Boles Funeral Home and Crematory of Southern Pines is serving the family.

Rosa and Raul, I am so sorry for the loss of Maria. I remember her as one of the dancing queens at the cath lab party. Rosa, I give you a big hug from one only daughter to another. Thinking of you.
