Obituary for William Franklin Haire

William Franklin Haire, 75, of Sanford, NC passed away Tuesday December 26, 2017 at his residence.

He was born August 9, 1942 in Harnett County to the late Sarah and William Haire. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen Haire, three sisters, and two brothers.

William worked for several years as a cabinet maker and carpenter for J.R. Simpson and Rex Brown. His talents were featured in an article in Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural magazine. William enjoyed going to the beach and loved to tell people he looked like Si Robertson.

He is survived by a daughter Brenda Thomas (Tim Suggs) of Broadway, NC; a son William Franklin Haire II of Sanford, NC; his former wife Peggy Simpson; granddaughters Candice Adams and Cayce Batten; grandsons Austin Haire and Tyler Haire; great-grandson Caiden Adams; two sisters Mary Estelle Perrell of Bear Creek and Peggy Tickle of Sanford; and his niece and caregiver Dorothy Sauls.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM on Friday December 29 at Miller-Boles Funeral Home in Sanford. A funeral service will follow the visitation in the Miller-Boles Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Johnny Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Shallow Well Church Cemetery.
