Louise S. Barnes

Louise Grady Sherron Barnes of Pinehurst passed away peacefully at First Health Hospice House on Tuesday May 14, 2019.

Lou was born on June 13th, 1942 in Raleigh, NC to the late Marlin P. and Audry Grady Sherron.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Ed and a brother Marlin.

She graduated from Meredith College earning a degree in English. After graduation she began a career teaching Middle School and later became a principal. As life moved along she continued to give back to her community by volunteering at Tri-County Hospital in Murphy, NC and Waynesboro, VA. In 2001 she became President of the Women of Pines. Lou was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Southern Pines and the Country Club of North Carolina.

Surviving is her son H.E. Barnes III of High Point.

The family will receive friends Friday May 17th from 5 to 7 PM at Boles Funeral Home, 35 Parker Lane, Pinehurst. There will be a private committal service for the family.

To honor the memory of Lou the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the First Health Foundation/ Hospice and Palliative Care, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374

Services are entrusted to Boles Funeral Home of Pinehurst.
